Actor. Writer. Director

Regan Lavin is a Stanford-educated writer/actor. Originally from New York, she has traded in bagels for breakfast burritos and now lives in sunny LA. She developed her darkly comedic tone as a child when she realized she could cope with her deep-seated family trauma by laughing about its absurdity.

‘Pink and Tinged with Lavender’, her 2022 short film, was featured at multiple film festivals, including Queer Global Arts Fest (earning the Best of the Fest award) and Cannes Short Film Festival. Her pilot sample, ‘A Girlboss’ Guide to Murder,’ which is a darkly comedic modern-day spin on the mental illness and existential crises of ‘The Bell Jar,’ was a quarter-finalist in the Filmmatic Horror Screenplay Awards (Season 7) and the Inroads Fellowship (Season 7). In 2022, she assistant directed Minh-Anh Day’s ‘Thirteenth Night’ at New York Theater Festival.

She is currently in pre-production for ‘a muse of my own,’ a short film which she wrote and is directing with The Aurelians Collective producing. She has worked at United Talent Agency for two years and currently assists a Partner in the TV Lit department.

Her satirical, witty work makes you laugh while wondering “what the fuck is wrong with these people?” When she’s not memorizing or writing lines, you can find Regan thrifting, reading, and playing with fire (literally).
